It is said that the Opal was originally found in Ethiopia, long time ago, probably around 4000BC. They were later discovered to be a great jewel and shaped into different styles. Now they have become part of our wealth and we are willing to pay a lot for them. They are a perfect gift and will never disappoint anyone. They are something that makes us smile and remember certain times, that is why we value them a lot.
But what in reality determines their value? Well some factors really matter, such as :
· It is the blind angles, if you rotate the stone, you should be able to see brightness from all angles, which is what gives to the stone more value.
· Apparently the most valued and sought opal ring is the black one and on the other hand, the white is the least valuable one.
· Regular shaped opals are more valuable than the less shaped opals.
· The opal which shows more red fire is the one for which you should get the most.
